Limerick is famed for its equestrian opportunities. This magnificent centre has two indoor arenas, an extra-large outdoor arena and a 120-acre parkland cross country course. It’s also run by a fantastic team of experienced, BHS-qualified staff and well-schooled horses and ponies.
Specialising in show jumping, dressage and cross-country, they are happy to welcome visitors of all abilities and experience to come and join them for a day or two of their renowned week-long programmes.
The team do their very best to match each rider with a suitable horse. This way, they can ensure you get the most from your experience. What’s more, they are also happy to organise individual coaching for you if you feel you require it.
Set over 26 acres visitors, the park features the iconic 15th century Bunratty Castle & a living village experience where visitors can discover through sights, sound and smells what village & rural life was like back Ireland in the early 1900’s.
Visitors can explore a wide variety of walking and discovery trails through the park’s woodland trails meeting along the way native Irish breeds of animals including the park’s much loved resident wolfhounds Meabh and Saoirse, pigmy goats Daithí and Maura, Cormac Bunratty’s native Irish red deer and so many more. The Folk Park also features a beautiful walled garden surrounding Bunratty House, a mystical fairy trail, a fun-filled viking playground and an array of farm animals.

Stonehall Visitor Farm is located in Kilcornan. A must see for all visitors to the Shannon Region, it is set amongst a tranquil rural setting filled with rich green fields and loads of fresh air. Adare, known as Ireland’s prettiest village, is located just 20 minutes from the city centre. While here, you can step back in time and take a journey through their wonderful heritage centre. It includes a unique reconstruction exhibition chronicling Adare’s unique past, from the arrival of the Norman’s, to the ancient abbeys of the middle-ages. In addition to the historical exhibition, the Heritage Centre is home to a number of beautiful gift outlets.
